Indoor & Outdoor Recreation

In addition to the 40 acres of green space scattered throughout the village, Mount Prospect is home to the River Trails Park District’s swimming pool, ice rink, golf course and professional art studio and the Mt. Prospect Park District’s 92,000 sq. ft. recreation campus, conservatory, nature center and Big Surf Wave Pool.

Chicagoland’s Biggest Block Party

Last year alone, the Midsummer Downtown Block Party and Extreme Business Expo—a summertime bash thrown by The Village of Mount Prospect and its chamber of commerce—brought in between 7,000 and 8,000 people to experience its stilt-walkers, Ferris wheel, climbing wall, beer tent and local musicians. We expect next year’s bash to be even bigger!
